Founded in Nanjing, China in 2012, DUNEN Electric designs and manufactures electric drive systems for the new energy vehicle industry.
Who We Are
DUNEN Electric was founded by PhDs from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, along with senior engineers from the aerospace, automotive electronics and new energy industries.
The company has rich experience in power electronics and motor drive design, including electromagnetic design, power system design, digital control system design, electrical simulation analysis, structural design, thermal design and overall system enclosure design. With mature AC/DC motor control strategies, we provide customers with reliable control software and complete system solutions. DUNEN holds more than 50 invention patents in the field of power electronics.
Milestones
- 2012 — DUNEN founded; R&D of drives and controllers begins
- 2014 — Products launched; controllers certified by the national automotive certification center
- 2016 — Mass production; over 100,000 controller sets installed in vehicles
- 2017 — Strategic investment; R&D of integrated three-in-one control
- 2018 — Controllers developed for SAIC Clever models
- 2020 — Clever model controllers in mass production; strategic restructuring into e-motorcycle and construction machinery controllers
- 2021 — Aerial work platform controllers in mass production, supplying Dingli and other leading manufacturers
- 2022 — Forklift controllers in mass production, supplying XCMG Forklift and others; e-motorcycle controllers in mass production
- 2024 — Off-road vehicle controller product line completed; full range of off-road vehicle adaptation

Qixin Liao
Founder, Chairman & General Manager. PhD in Electrical Machines from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; former chief designer of radar controller platforms at CETC 14th Research Institute; 6+ years of experience in EV drive system development.
Jian Wang
Co-founder, Deputy General Manager. Master in Power Electronics from NUAA; former roles at Samsung and Emerson Network Power; 10 years in power supply design and 8 years in the EV industry.
Chao Xie
Co-founder, R&D Director. Master in Electrical Machines from NUAA; former software lead at GTK and software manager at Keyuan Electric; 8 years of inverter design experience.
